The Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly, once thought extinct, was rediscovered in San Pedro in 1994 at the Fuel Depot in
San Pedro. About 300 acres of habitat will be restored over the next few years as part of the effort to save the
butterfly and recreate our native grasslands.
This is your chance to help save an endangered species! Be sure this is on your spring calendar so you can see
the butterfly on the wing. Go to 3171 North Gaffey Sreet, 1/2 mile south of intersection of Anaheim and Vermont,
near the police pistol range. Bring work gloves. Call Jess Morton at 310-832-5601 or Rhapsody in Green at
213-654-5821 for information
