In October 2008, we launched the Bluebird Nest Box Project at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park! We were fortunate to be in
the company of Dick Purvis, Regional Coordinator for the California Bluebird Recovery Program as we hung the ten next boxes
he had constructed for us. To learn more about this project, see the Bluebird Nest Box article in the December/January
2008-2009 issue of our Hummin' Newsletter. The article will open in a new browser window.

Fledge results: A total of 15 Bluebirds and 13 Tree Swallows have fledged from 6 nest boxes. It has now been more than a
month since the last fledge so we consider the breeding season to be over for this year.
See the Sialis Website for extensive information regarding "pairing."
We created a flyer about Bluebirds to hand out to the children at Harbor Park: All About the Harbor Park Bluebirds!
